Florida Friday, Part Two: April 15

After leaving the aquarium we ventured across town to find a swim suit for Anna. Back at the hotel, the girls went swimming while dad attended to some work back in the room.

Had showers after the swim and then snacks.

After relaxing in the room for awhile, we walked along the ocean front on the way to dinner at the Clear Sky Cafe.

Passing along Pier 60 in Clearwater Beach (below). We spotted a strange blue light streaking up into the night sky, falling back to earth, and shooting back up again. We walked over to find a guy shooting a night copter up into the air with a big rubber band. He told us this was just $7 at the shop across the street. The girls HAD to have one.

Later realizing he was working for the shop, I lamented how easy we fell for this selling trick.

Girls were really tired and we didn't stay long at the Clear Sky Cafe. Girls had sliders and smoothies. Dad had the grouper, locally caught, and it was great!

The girls were too full to finish dinner at Clear Sky Cafe, but somehow had room for a stop at the ice cream shop. Another child looks on, sadly, and wishes she had a dad this great.

Back at the room, it took about 5 minutes for Jane to fall asleep. And Anna was out not long after.

After the girls went to sleep, dad opened his bottle of Crown Royal and then tried to take a shower. The shower knob broke off.

He had to take a BATH for the first time since he was like 9 years old. Ugh.

A final shot of the night from the balcony ...
